SpyderBot Documentation
Google Analytics 4
GA4 may provide human-session and configured event data used for AI Referral Traffic and outcomes when measurement is installed and configured correctly.
This page describes install and configuration guidance only. It does not claim an in-app OAuth "connect Google" flow.
What GA4 can support
- AI Referral Sessions
- Landing pages
- Engagement signals
- Configured goals or key events
- Ecommerce outcomes when configured
- Source and period context
GA4 does not provide complete bot-request evidence. Referral attribution normally does not identify the exact AI prompt, response, or model.
Install and configuration checklist
- Install or verify the GA4 measurement tag (or a GTM container that deploys it) on the website you measure in SpyderBot.
- Confirm the GA4 property, data stream, and consent settings match that site.
- Configure the referral, engagement, goal, or ecommerce events you need.
- Send a test session and confirm events arrive in GA4.
- In SpyderBot Measurement Setup, confirm the human analytics source shows connected and receiving.
- If SpyderBot Script is also connected, identify the selected primary human analytics sourceâdo not add GA4 and Script sessions together.
Limitations
- Connected does not always mean completeâreview Measurement Health.
- Goals and ecommerce conclusions require configuration before interpretation.
- Referrer stripping and in-app browsers may cause under-attribution.
