Running Analysis
Running a Brand Insights analysis is the first step toward understanding your organization's AI Visibility.
Overview
During this process, SpyderBot collects AI observations, analyzes how AI systems perceive your organization, and generates a comprehensive Brand Insights report.
Every analysis belongs to a project and can be repeated over time to measure changes in AI Visibility.
Before You Start
Before creating a Brand Insights analysis, prepare the following information.
Your Organization
Select the organization, brand, product, or website you want to analyze.
This becomes the primary subject of the analysis.
Your Website
Provide the official website associated with your organization.
SpyderBot uses this information throughout the analysis to identify your organization and evaluate AI-generated references.
Your Competitors
Adding competitors allows SpyderBot to compare AI-generated recommendations, positioning, visibility, citations, and other intelligence across organizations.
Choose competitors that operate within the same market or compete for similar customer intent.
Meaningful competitor selection improves the quality of comparative intelligence.
Analysis Objective
Consider what you want to learn before running an analysis.
Common objectives include:
- Establishing a baseline for AI Visibility.
- Comparing your brand with competitors.
- Measuring the impact of recent optimization efforts.
- Understanding AI perception before launching a new product.
- Monitoring changes over time.
Having a clear objective helps prioritize the most relevant intelligence layers once the report is complete.
Creating a Brand Insights Analysis
Once your project has been created, start a new Brand Insights analysis.
The exact configuration options may evolve as SpyderBot introduces new capabilities, but the overall workflow remains consistent.

What Happens During Analysis
After an analysis begins, SpyderBot performs a series of observation and intelligence-generation stages.
At a high level, Brand Insights:
- Collects AI observations.
- Identifies relevant brands, entities, recommendations, and citations.
- Compares AI responses across the selected analysis scope.
- Generates intelligence across multiple analysis layers.
- Produces a structured Brand Insights report.
The implementation details are proprietary.

Analysis Progress
Depending on the analysis scope, report generation may take some time.
During processing, SpyderBot continues collecting observations and generating intelligence until the report is complete.
When the analysis finishes, the report becomes available within your project.

Best Practices
To obtain the most reliable results:
Analyze Your Primary Brand First
Begin with your primary organization before analyzing products, campaigns, or subsidiaries.
This establishes a strategic AI Visibility baseline.
Choose Relevant Competitors
Competitive intelligence is most valuable when competitors serve similar audiences or customer needs.
Avoid adding organizations that are unrelated to your market.
Use Consistent Competitor Sets
When measuring changes over time, use the same competitor set whenever possible.
This makes historical comparisons more meaningful.
Repeat Analyses Regularly
AI systems evolve continuously.
Running analyses periodically provides a more accurate understanding of long-term AI Visibility than relying on a single report.
Common Questions
How often should I run Brand Insights?
